The Tulsa Dream Fields project is a renovation of baseball and softball fields at Lafortune Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The goal is to raise $10 million to remove all existing facilities and replace them with six new fields.
The fields are designed to replicate Major League Baseball parks using iconic features and similar dimensions while maintaining Little League approved field sizes. The new design includes artificial field surfaces that reduce injuries and is immediately available following inclement weather.
The field lighting for night time games is state of the art. The new lighting will be much brighter than the current lighting scheme which and will offer better and safer conditions for playing at night.
One of the fields is designed for use by Little League Baseball’s Challenger League, a league dedicated to allowing physically challenged children to experience playing baseball. A playground designed for children under 12 year of age and will also be designed to accommodate children with disabilities.
The new complex will dramatically enhance the area and be attractive for local, regional and national tournaments. This will be a boost for the local economy. This facility will be a showcase for youth baseball and softball.
Tulsa Little League Baseball enrolls close to one thousand children on an annual basis in its baseball programs.
